One of the things I wanted to do when re-starting this blog was to experiment more - to find out what actually works and what doesn’t when it comes to making money online rather than just reading ebooks/forums and taking the word of other people (who just happen to be selling you a related product!).
To that end, experiment no.1 is going to be in website flipping.
What is website flipping?
Flipping basically refers to creating/buying a website and then selling it for a profit. In this case, I will be creating niche websites and then selling them on.
Why flipping?
Has anybody had any luck with website flipping or have any tips to offer?
Next post…the flipping plan!

Hey, welcome back.
I made an attempt at flipping last year, but it didn’t pan out for me. I picked decent niches, got some great graphics done, and custom articles, but couldn’t get the sites sold. In the end, I sold one for cost, and kept the other (which has been making me about $5/month in Adsense, with no promotion at all
Not sure what I was doing wrong. Maybe it was where I was trying to sell them. They were alot nicer than many of the sites for sale on DP at the time, but just couldn’t get the interest.
Perhaps if I’d created multiple sites I could have found the key, but because I don’t write articles, it was alot of cash outlay for me at the time. Like you say, perhaps too I should have planned to hold the sites for 3-5months to build some Adsense income and show that they had potential.
Hey bud - Just wanted to let you know you don’t have to wait months to have an established site first.
Me and my clients routinely sell out of the box membership sites built on the Joomla platform with a couple key ingredients for $475.
Plus these sites have no traffic or revenue coming in yet. Also another thing you can do is have wordpress themes created cheaply for you at Scriptlance.com and then sell them in the SitePoint.com templates marketplace.

Hey Jean! Interesting stuff…I figured the worst that could happen is that I wouldn’t be able to sell them and that I’d have to keep them and hopefully make a bit of spare change!
I’m off to have a look round your new site and see what you’re up to now…
Interesting stuff Justin, will have to check out your site!
